Overview
New Rostrum Records signee DryBoy was about to drop his first EP, Alone and Alive, and wanted a full slate of visuals to go with it.
Approach & Concept
We built one content plan around a single storyline and look, true to DryBoy’s brand and his own stories. Working with Rostrum’s digital marketing team, the A&Rs, his management at NoSundays and production partner Trance Productions, we kept creative, logistics and rollout moving together.
Priorities & Challenges
Variety without the budget: unique, engaging locations on a cost-effective plan. Since this was his debut on Rostrum, every piece had to feel authentic to DryBoy and build on the intention in his music.
Solution
A 10-day road trip across California, 1,500+ miles from desert highways to the foggy coast, filmed as one cohesive short film that breaks into 20+ stand-alone assets: the Alone and Alive short; visualizers for Dancing in My Room, How Life Goes, Miles in the Air and Wasted Time; out-now trailers and teasers; vertical ads and short-form social. All cut from the same world, so the rollout reads as one story.
